{VIDEO} Want to Change Your Life and Ensure Your Success?

The best kept secret I have about rising strong and building a dream life on my own terms? Finding someone else that’s done it, tracking them down, and learning everything they have to offer.

I’ve written about the importance of being mentored, but truly, it can’t be highlighted enough. Having someone, or many people, in your corner who can give you the sage wisdom you need to stay up and keep grinding is more than a necessity, it’s imperative.

In this first episode of the LeadersCreateLeaders video series, I introduce you to my mentor. His name is Ryan Blair. To say his story is inspirational would be an understatement, he truly is the epitome of rising from rock bottom — and I found him when I had hit mine.

I read Ryan’s book Nothing to Lose, Everything to Gain when I had truly lost everything and wasn’t sure what my next move would be. I found him right around the time I was starting Elite Daily, and he changed the course of my life without question. If I didn’t have his support, perspective, and encouragement — who knows where I’d be today. It’s that important to have people around you who understand your vision and propel you toward it.

Ryan went from being a gang member to a multimillionaire in his twenties. He’s overcome obstacles and continued to rise, and he’s coming out with another book Rock Bottom to Rock Star that I can’t praise highly enough. He’s real, he’s humble, he’s killing it, and he’s a leader who lives the truth that if you do what you love with determination, success will follow.

If you think you have what it takes to be an entrepreneur, or if you’re already on the path, there aren’t many things more important than finding a mentor. It’s like having a map in a foreign country, or a light to turn on in the dark — sure, you can try to live without it, but you’ll struggle, and why would you want to?

If you want to change your life and ensure your success, find someone that inspires you, that’s done what you want to do, and is doing it authentically. It’s that easy, and that necessary.

I’m so excited to share this first episode with you. Subscribe to stay connected and catch the other 15!
